The Game f. Gucci Mane & Timbaland, “Krazy” MP3

Never judge a street single by its title because what looks like a misguided and mistimed attempt by The Game to both hit radio (Tim) and the zeitgeist (Radric) in advance of his new album might actually work out. Tim’s beat is about as far from the trance-pop he (or Danja) has been riding since “My Love,” Tim actually spits a decent verse and the whole thing kind of just sounds like a Gucci song since Game does his best impression over the course of his three verses. BURRR.

Nothing like some gang-affiliated rap to get your Thanksgiving Week started off properly. “Red Magic” is from Wayne’s second new mixtape in as many weeks, The Drought is Over, Part Six, which is following on the heels of the nap-inducing Dedication 3 from last week. Judging from the tracklist (after the jump) and leaked songs, Drought 6 should be a little more entertaining. We’re especially looking forward to “Dick Pleaser” featuring Jae Millz, but until then, let’s all fold our rags into origami turkeys and say a blessing for Tapemasters Inc who were nice enough to leak this.

PS- If you are viewing this in a feed reader, you are missing the mixtape cover image of Dark Angel Weezy holding Baby Weezy in a river of blood.

Video: The Game f. Travis Barker, “Dope Boys”

This song is crazy, and we play it on a loop every Friday night after we get our temporary goblin tattoos at the mall. What’s up, Journeys!

This summer…comes the true story…of a team…that attempted the impossible…and a family…that reached for their dreams… of putting out a song… in which The Game does not rap about another rapper. Didn’t happen but this song is crazy nonetheless. And it has a Keith David outro. That dude slayed Shakespeare in the Park!

Listen, it’d take a lot of money or precipitous decline in our social lives to watch the Carson Daly Show, but apparently The Game was on it talking about getting a tattoo of Obama’s face on his back. Sounds like a great idea. We will probably just vote, but power to the people and all that. Maybe Game’s new ink buddy Travis Barker will get a Jim Webb piece on his calf or something. Democracy in Action! As long as they keep making songs like this one, they can do whatever they want.

Are we slipping? This remix kinda snuck up on us, but it shouldn’t considering the original was a Sean C & LV produced heatrock of fast-rap drums and Busta having fun again for the first time in a million years. Now here’s the remix—probably the first of many and featuring familiar posse cut mainstays like Wayne, but then throwing Nas and Big Daddy Kane into the mix to liven it up and maybe mask the fact that Spliff Star and Reek Da Villian are also on it. Don’t get us wrong, we’re as open to Flip Mode dudes making a resurgence as nearly anyone, but for the first remix? Save that for the third or fourth, Busta. And just like that: We’re expecting a third or fourth remix already. So…good job rap industry?

Uh oh. The Game just put out the Cool & Dre-produced street single off L.A.X. due out June 24th. It is ugly. And yes, of course he shouts out every major label rapper in the last verse and starts up a beef with Wayne, but really, didn’t you miss this guy?

This video is so untimely that we can’t remember if we liked this song when it came out, but we kinna like it now so more power to the randomness of the innernet.
