Give It To Someone Special

File under "Thanks, Internet": Last-Christmas.com, a website that aims to collect all the covers of Wham!'s holiday classic under one URL. Yes, we said "Wham!" and "classic" - as far as we're concerned, "Last Christmas" is Unbeatable Pop Music of the highest order. And while the site features a handfull of shitty, Crazy Frog-quality revisions (they're bound to hit Hilary Duff any day now), the majority of the covers absolutely nail the bittersweet pathos of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley's original. Standouts include a live acoustic take from James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers, and two previously vinyl-only covers by Jimmy Eat World and NYC's Pas/Cal (you can still get the Pas/Cal wax in their webstore, it's translucent green and pretty darn magnificent). There's also a reggaeton smash-together, if you're so inclined.
