We ask you to do a lot of things around here– buy music, buy movies, go see stuff, etc.– but rarely do we ask you to change someone's life. That little ladykiller pictured above is Callum Robbins, son of J. and Janet and light of the world for many others. He was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a degenerative disease that affects his brain's ability to communicate with the voluntary muscles he uses to sit up, crawl, walk, swallow and breath. Babies with SMA usually don't make it to their second birthdays, but we have Cal booked for the cover of F200 so that ain't gonna be the case this time. He turns one-year-old this Saturday, and the good people of Chicago are throwing a major party to raise money for Cal's healthcare costs. There will be a raffle (Win Fred Armisen!) and performances by a slew of awesome bands. You can buy tickets here if you're going to be in Chicago, or go here to make a donation. J. Robbins has made some of our favorite records, and Cal is his favorite person, so please do what you can.
