Austin: No Age

March 21, 2007

If you were at the Levi's/FADER Fort on Saturday you may have heard some of us telling anyone within snitching distance that No Age is our favorite band (we even told No Age and some of the other bands and may or may not have slipped a note in Paul Simonon's coat pocket). There's just something about Dean and Randy hanging out and being super nice dudes and then playing so loud you go blind that endears them to us. And then they go and do stuff like smile while shredding, drum to exhaustion, pull friends from Mika Miko onstage and throw guitars on drums that engenders both feverish believers and makes cranky dudes put hands on hips and stare. They also write catchy tunes if you stand far enough away to discern that kind of shit. All we're saying is you know a band is doing something right when they can make haters and lovers out of people who don't know a thing about their music.
