Cuizinier and a bunch of girls

Last Thursday night we headed to Hiro Ballroom for a big helping of Cuizinier’s Parisian raps with a side of jam jam dance. First up was
Shout Out Out Out Out
. They played our
CMJ sideshow
last year and are a high-kicking, mic-twirling, Bud-chugging, hand clapping, six-headed Canuck dance machine with two drummers, four basses and a rotary sampler. We were kinda distracted by the dragonhead spewing rock fog above the stage, but we think we saw some wild audience participation cowbell. Then the
Genevan Heathen
took the stage, the Continental sophisti-tunes kicked in, and French New York went crazy. The Heathen gave shout outs to Cory Feldman, DEEplo, and le Spank Rock before introducing DJ Orgasmic and
Cuizi-Cuiz. We profiled the tallest rapper in Europe back in
Issue 32
, and the man is still as cocky, goofy, and glorious as ever. He completely ripped through the highlights of his Pour Les Filles mixtapes and TTC's finest, then sang along to a chopped up version of “Umbrella.” Feel good hits of the summer. Check a few more pics of the action after the jump.
