Reading Matthew Stone's blog will give you some some idea of his creative off-the-wallness—the freeform art "happenings" with the !WOWOW! collective (including designer Gareth Pugh), the full-on art shaman garb, the squatting and dumpster-diving. Stone opened his US solo exhibit last weekend at Terrence Koh's gallery, and after a midweek nosey down at the space we weren't surprised to find him boho-ing it down in the basement, taking a nap next to his video installation. All the artwork was shot ritual-style in the space where there were exhibited— there's more about his rituals in the interview with Stone in the next issue of The FADER. Stone's sleeping chamber notwithstanding, we did manage to get a few shots of the exhibit which you can see after the break.
