We are banoculox for Crookers' live set, as evidenced in our forthcoming Crookers feature in F55, on stands now or soon. We marvel at how the Italian production / DJ duo can be so epic and so musical at the same time. We then worry that maybe it has something to do with our lifelong affection for prog. Not prog house, doy; prog music. Like Yes. Are Crookers the Yes of futuristic house? Probably not, but the changes in their DJ set from the Gatecrasher banuts dance fest last week put them on that level, i.e. at some point mid-career they might rent a heifer to put in the studio for a more authentic country experience. For now, they are about to TOUR NORTH AMERICA! starting June 20 in Chicago (dates here!). As Paula Abdul advised in her sleeper hit remix album, we're just gonna shut up and dance now.
