Reading Diplo's new Guest List over on Pitchfork this part…

>>Favorite New Band

Invasion from London. They have an album with, like, 16 songs [12 songs --Ed.], and it's only 25 minutes long-- psych-heavy metal with soul singing-- like the Gossip but with some balls. They recorded the whole thing at the crazy IDN analog place [Toerag Studios]. Boy 8-Bit put me up. I think we're both gonna do mixes for this music.

… of course made us go search them out, only to realize that we saw the video for "Moongazer" several months ago and didn't post it. The power of Diplo's tastemaking has persuaded us to reconsider, though, especially since he big ups 2000F & jKamata's "You Don't Know What Love Is" which coincidentally (OR NOT) was featured in Prancehall's Bass Odyssey yesterday. Back to Invasion, the album of which Diplo speaks, The Master Alchemist (amazing), will be out this spring.
