Play-N-Skillz On The State Of Dallas Rap

November 24, 2009

Play-N-Skillz don't get to New York much. It might be because they're too busy painting Dallas red, or Cowboys colors, or whatever color people from Dallas spill when they party as hard as they do. We imagine they'll be here more now that they've just signed a deal with SRC/Universal for their own label imprint, G4 Muzik, but in these times a lot of those dealings are probably conference call fodder at best. We were happy to see them, however, as we haven't heard much from the pair (aside from requesting to be paid for one of the biggest singles of of 2008) since featuring them in F56's Dallas Rap feature. While they were here we made sure to get the full rundown on what they've been up to (including projects they've since abandoned), hurdles they're still dealing with as multi-platinum producers and how they feel about Dallas going nationwide since our story.
