A few months ago, when we saw Small Black play in a Brooklyn industrial cavern, the sounds coming from the stage were confusing because they made us want to both swing like Bart Connor from the odd rings hanging from the ceiling and cry like that one Olympic girl who trashed her ankle on the vault. There was not vault thankfully but still, it was emotionally and physically jamming. The fellow FADER family over at The Tripwire condensed that emotion and physicality into a tiny ass kitchen located very close to said cavern, and here we are once again, dancing and crying like gymnasts.
