Stylee Fridays: Third Floor Spring 2010

December 04, 2009

Since launching a few seasons ago, New York menswear line Third Floor have always found a way of flirting with the darkside. Mind Over Matter, their first collection, dabbled in the realm of the insane, featuring a strait jacket cape and even a pair of quilted sweats called the padded cell pant. Sartorial food for thought to say the least. For spring 2010, Third Floor found inspiration in self-induced isolation, and the lookbook imagery literally goes out in to a suburban wilderness, filled with smoldering trash cans and gravel pits. The new clothes have all the trappings of lost youth—another big TF obsession—with draped hoodies, motorcycle vests and four-pocket parkas. The meshed-out yardie tees actually make us want to break out the string tanks we picked up in Kingston last summer immediately.
