Let's pretend that Happy Birthday's Kyle Thomas, who also records as King Tuff, didn't have a whole pile of great songs under his belt. Let's also pretend that we don't already know that the self-titled debut Happy Birthday (Out on Sub Pop, March 16th) is an end-to-end burner. Even if just this one song was all we had to go on, we would play it with unshakable faith everywhere: at bars, at home, in headphones, we'd sing it in the shower too. Eventually everyone would get sick of hearing about it and be like, What's the deal with that "Girls FM" band? Why do you like it so much? Then they'd start singing it in the shower too, and the cycle would continue. Basically "Girls FM" is a really sweet virus that we should all try and get.
