It's not a battle of the bands, per se, and you get to vote on the winner: Metric and Broken Social Scene have each chosen a cause they feel strongly about, and are competing in the Pepsi Refresh SXSW Challenge for $100,000 to "refresh" a community. Metric's going for the Women's Funding Network, whose efforts are directed towards eradicating violence against girls in the States. Broken Social Scene opted for Street Kids International, an organization that helps empower street kids to find safe, meaningful work. Either way, people win, but you can vote on your pick over at the Pepsi Refresh SXSW Challenge page.
