Stream MIA’s New Suicide Sampling “Born Free”

April 23, 2010

The first time we saw MIA perform, she just did her first single, "Galang," while wearing matching red and white fire print pants and jacket. She did that little shoulder shake and that slow butterfly dance with her knees. The next time we saw her, a long time later, was on TV at the Grammys, pregnant wearing a sheer polka dot dress, flanked by Jay-Z, TI and Kanye West, singing the hook to their song. And maybe, with the echo shred of her new track, "Born Free," the next time we see her play will be at ABC No Rio with pink hair, a megaphone and band members from Spaceman 3 and Black Flag. Anything can happen with Maya. Here's to high hopes and being born free! (via Pitchfork)

Stream: MIA, "Born Free"
