We're used to seeing Angolan kuduro vocalist Costuleta in much lower-budget videos, so it initially seems odd that the production quality of this one equals that of your garden-variety American rap clip. But then he's voicing a baile funk track, too, something else that's new from him, and "Ladjum" is a total anthem, a track he apparently recorded for a compilation called Funk do Brazil. Costuleta kuduro songs like "O Mi Matam" and "So Ca To" remain some of our faves, but it's good to see this strange, charismatic man getting a bigger look, even in a different genre. At least we get an amazing use of autotune out of it (wait for the "wowww" about :57 seconds in). And yes, Costuleta has only one leg and he still dances better than anyone. (via Masala)
