Three summers ago, when we saw Bjorn Torske perform in Oslo, Norway—the space-disco capital of the world—we expected a dude at his computer digitizing cosmic landscapes for our mental bliss. Instead, we got a band of 20 people dressed in dinosaur masks and F. Scott Fitzgerald tea party dresses. It was an incredible collage of visual stuffs, and the music was similar, something akin to a full orchestra doped up on ludes. To celebrate his label, Smalltown Super Sound, collaborating with T-shirt makers Million Hands, Torske dropped this decoupage of a mix with jazz-funk, haunted house music and some good ol' fashioned four-on-the-floor interstellar whoppers.
