Video: Ratatat, “Party With Children”

May 10, 2010

We at the FADER have long been of the opinion that birds possess the most demonic stares of all the animal kingdom. Their beady gaze can drill a hole into your heart and steal your soul for their nests. If you make eye contact with one for too long, you will carry the burden of a pox that lasts until the next migratory period, at least. However, it's okay to look at a bird on YouTube, for the curse does not translate to social media networks. Ratatat knows as much, for their terrifying video for "Party With Children" serves as a warning to all that would venture into the lair of a winged creature: though it appears to nonchalantly clean its feathers, pecking absentmindedly, it is in fact sharpening its beak, preparing for the moment it will strike and rip apart your eternal being for its own dastardly gain. We fear for the fate of whoever directed this, but praise that person as a hero who risked life and limb to spread the truth to the world. For further proof of the evilness of birds, watch the scary cautionary video we made last November after the jump.
