The first 20 seconds of Chain Gang of 1974's "Matter of Time" are amazing. The rest is rad, too! But let's break down that intro: Yanni meets Steve Winwood meets Terry Riley twinkle drone. We want to live inside of that. And then the loose bass comes in to knock you down and Chain Gang main man Kamtin Mohager gets all ’80s romance on your ass with some chunky guitar and a chorus that would make doves cry. We heard he likes Tears For Fears, but we're thinking he might love Holy Ghost. The Coloradan new guy opens for Caribou this Friday in New York, catch the rest of his dates after the jump.
