We've recently been semi-jokingingly/mostly seriously talking about how the future of music is in slowwwwwwing everything down. There's obviously some truth to that: dudes are slowing down Justin Bieber to the point of being completely unrecognizable and FADER favorite CFCF just made an entire mix of slowed songs perfect for when you end up at the drug store and realize you are in need of just about every toiletry available and an hour later you come out of there in a blast of air conditioning and muzak. Catcall's got that same slow vibe—glittering to the point that it sounds mystical. We'd compare her to Kate Bush, but no one wants to hear another person compared to Kate Bush, so instead we'll say that this stands completely on its own. If someone slowed it down 800% it would probably sound like a star exploding, but it works as it is as well.
