Jessy Nite at Art Basel

December 10, 2010

Meet Jessy Nite. She is the second artist featured in our coverage of the Exhibitalia we presented with FIAT USA during Art Basel last week. Jess is a fly homegirl based out of Miami with a strength in art direction. Her passions include typography, illustration, and design with an emphasis on color. Her work has graced a plethora of corporate advertisements while at the same time, showing her street work in local grassroots galleries. Her modus operandi? To view the world through a prism of rainbow colored sunglasses that , in her words, "turn vice, gore, and greed into fluffy fun". For Exhibitalia, Jess' mission was to transform a Fiat door into a creature of her imagination. Watch the video to see the transformation from a clean white door to a blinged out jewel landscape disguised within hot rod racing stripes. Jess's imaginary car would be the modern day equivalent of a "Pink Ladies" vehicle gone badder.
