On a day off from their tour with The Cult, The Black Ryder rolled through town to play their first-ever NYC show at Death By Audio. Before they did, however, they strummed out a couple of tunes from their debut album Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride and talked to us about the process of leaving all their old bands behind to start this one—kind of like a VH1 Storytellers, if VH1 still made shows about music and only existed on the internet. Listen to "All That We See" above and "Sweet Come Down" below, as performed at the Mexican Summer studios in Greenpoint, and don't underestimate the calming power of an Australian accent.
