Warriors of Radness Has a House Band

June 24, 2011

It's hard to think about the surf culture that Warriors of Radness offers up every season without hearing music in your head, like the vibrato guitar shakes and twisted reverb of Dick Dale and the Del-Tones. So it made sense for WOR to find their own act, the equivalent of booking a house band to play every night at your Orange County hamburger shack. They've started a label, WOR Records, and are beginning to put out tracks from Gantez Warrior, a band that Radness designer Rick Klotz found hanging around Costa Mesa playing shows, and, as their site says, "partying down to as little clothes as possible." The band members have turned up in a few different look books and are working on a full length now. Until then, take a listen to their 7-inch, and if you're bumming around Southern California, they've got a few shows coming up.

Stream: Gantez Warrior, "I Like To Surf" / "Wax"
