Brick Squad Weekly Round Up: Aug 8-12, 2011

August 12, 2011

Each week the Brick Squad Monopoly drops enough music to build a small village. With bricks, get it? We rounded up this week in Brick Squad and rated each piece of output on a scale of one to five Waka BOWs.

It's been a relatively quiet week for the Brick Squad boys, musically speaking at least. Hey, even God took a day off once. Gucci and Waka have presumably had their hands full handling press for and the general fallout surrounding the release of their studio album collab Ferrari Boyz, which we talked about last week.

Waka Flocka, "Round Of Applause" (BOW BOW BOW BOW)

Waka dropped "Round Of Applause," the lead single to his forthcoming solo album Triple F Life. Complaints that he borrowed the title and concept from underground A-Town rapper Money Makin' Nique aside, it's nice to hear Waka extending his range, from strip club bangers to goth strip club bangers.

Beyond that, Gucci bragged about internet traffic and trafficking on Drumma Boy's "I'm On Worldstar," while Waka knocked out a few actual Worldstar clips for older cameos:

Video: Diamond f. Waka Flocka, "Hit Dat Hoe" (BOW BOW BOW)

Drumma Boy f. Gucci Mane, Tity Boi and Young Buck, "I'm On World Star" (BOW BOW BOW)

Waka's Lebron Flocka James 3 and his Blood Brothers collaboration with Wooh Da Kid are on deck for the near future.
