Video: Shells, “Arctic”

Balto was a Siberian husky who, in 1925, helped lead his team to the remote city of Nome, Alaska to deliver the diphtheria antitoxin in -25-degree, blizzard conditions (a journey which is commemorated annually by the Iditarod). What about the musher—the human who also endured the cold and led the entire team of dogs? Gunnar Kaasen was also pretty badass, too, but let's face it, he's no Balto. For Shells’ video "Arctic" Panaframe captured the spirit of the Baltos of the world, and even though it's very unlikely Shells' mastermind Khalid Rafique was thinking about racing (or dogs) when he wrote "Arctic," the icy, driving beat is its own sort of heartwarming triumph.
