You might've never considered how lovely majolica tiles look when shot on hazily unfocused Super 8 film, but no need to tax your brain because Polish musician Michal Jacaszcek and artist Pedro Maia have gone ahead and made that visual experience for you in Jacaszek's new video for "Dare Gale." Using methods that'd do Tacita Dean proud, the two distorted the film in a darkroom, using analogue means of light manipulation and superposition film. The resulting film is lushly built atmospheric play of light and shape that goes very well with Jacaszek's velvety dark, meditative soundscapes. Jacaszek's Glimmer is out now on Ghostly International.
