It's undeniable that this track is going to instantly appeal to a certain kind of Dungeon Family completist (most of the FADER office, some European dudes on a message board) because of the inclusion of Backbone, but this track shouldn't be ignored by those of you that might not care about that. Both Grip Playaz and Rittz exist in this continuum of Southern rap that just feels so reverent in the least annoying way possible—like they're living in the shadows of their influences, but not getting swallowed by them. Basically what I'm saying is that no one here is reinventing the wheel, but they're doing something (rapping) well over a super sparse beat produced by Go Dreamer. It works because of what came before it, but it's not hampered down by history either.
