I spent my entire adolescence sitting on Southern California beaches, and I can assure you that there's a darker side that isn't all sun, sand and waves. The crew over at Warriors of Radness must have spent a fair amount of time there, too, because their newest release is a short film entitled Cruising that captures the seedier side of beach life. Shot in a grainy filter, the clip is meant to reflect porn films of the 1970s and features dudes cruising for hook-ups in the boardwalk bathrooms, an occurrence that I assure still happens regularly. WOR also released a few new summer items to capture the spirit of the video's vintage hustler setting, like campy short rainbow trunks and a hoody to pull up over your face to remain incognito. A timely collection, to say the least: one of the best spots to cruise in Manhattan Beach was just busted last month. At least WOR are keeping the dream alive.
