"Cold & Tempted" may seem like a clash of opposing styles at first. Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth sets a sample from Waka Flocka’s "Karma" to a beat that, for the most part, is consistent and melodic. While consistent and melodic aren't terms often associated with Waka Flocka's usual rapid-fire grittyness, Hemsworth chooses his sample wisely. As the Southern rapper fades in and out, belting All the crazy shit I did over and over, the track sounds less like a contradiction and more like a carefully produced moment for reflection.
