Earl Sweatshirt Reveals Collaborators for New Album

August 13, 2012

Last night on Twitter, Earl Sweatshirt revealed a list of collaborators for his debut full-length. OF's Tyler, the Creator, Domo Genesis, MellowHype, Frank Ocean and The Internet will all be involved, as well as Pharrell Williams, the Neptunes, the Alchemist and Vince Staples. Earl didn't share a title or release date for the album, to be released via Tan Cressida, the Sony imprint he started earlier this year, but he made it clear that he's not interested in reproducing his visceral, eponymous mixtape. "Im [sic] gonna go out on a limb and say that you can hear the progression," he wrote, after saying it's okay if he alienates some fans with a new sound.

Im just trying to make pretty music. Everyone whose favorite song off EARL was epar or whatever might be pretty bummed. Everyone with 666 or KTA or some sort of stupid hashtag like "hey look im crazy" in their bio might be pretty bummed too. I anticipate a loss of fans. I also anticipate gaining some... I hope I lose you as a fan if you only fuck with me cause I rapped about raping girls when i was 15.
