Grant Singer, who's directed videos for the likes of DIIV and Sky Ferreira lately, turns his lens on empty and liminal spaces in these visuals for Gambles’ "Trust"—lurking in thresholds and gazing out of bright, highly contrasted windows in abandoned houses. The narrative here is a bit bereft, and you can only guess that the relationship between these two somber figures—whatever it may be—is very likely coming to an end. But Singer is right to hew towards the abstract, since "Trust" is a traditional, lyrical ballad that mixes Gambles' gritty voice with a simple furtive strum.
