John Foxx, the inimitable, 66-year-old British singer, and Jori Hulkkonen, the veteran Finnish producer of off-kilter computer pop, have collaborated off and on over the past near-decade. Earlier this summer, the pair released an EP together, European Splendour, most publicized for the remix by David Lynch that's embedded below. The track "Strictly" was just as strange, though, with Foxx's spoken verse and haunting chorus shot through filters that remind me of a pneumatic tube escaping a prison, and it now comes complete with a equally bleak, surveillance-like video.
