Two years after Beat Culture's debut LP, Tokyo Dreamer, recorded when he was a teenager, he's back with a new single, "Drifter," featuring Brooklyn's Psychic Twin. Among footwork toms and a wildly slashed vocal sample—"it's very!" or similar—Beat Culture still works in his trademarks splashes of water. Times goes on, some things stay great. The 7-inch with "Drifter" and "Shibuya" comes out January 21st via B3SCI and Kaya Kaya, and it's up for preorder now. Tomorrow, December 5th, he'll perform with Mister Lies at Brooklyn's Cameo Gallery.
