Make Beats with El-P and Nick Hook This Weekend at CONS Project: Brooklyn

Recording workshops this weekend; on January 24th, an El-P performance.

January 10, 2014

This winter, coinciding with the release of their revamped CONS sneakers, Converse launches CONS Project: Brooklyn, a series of free music, video and art workshops. The first in a wider initiative of global workshops for young musicians, the Brooklyn CONS Project finishes off strong this weekend at Converse Rubber Tracks in Williamsburg. This Sunday, January 12th, EL-P and Nick Hook will teach participants recording techniques. (On Saturday the 11th, members of The Dillinger Escape Plan and guitarist William Putney will lead a workshop on recording live instruments.) Later this month, on the 24th, El-P will perform at a series wrap party. That event is open to the public with an RSVP—stay tuned for an RSVP link.
