FADER PREMIERE

There isn't much information out there about Los Angeles singer Liphemra, but apparently she is also a skilled drummer, which may explain the off-kilter, impossible-to-dance-to beat on this first single, "Bloodwork." The track features evocatively detuned piano and some verse from Stones Throw-affiliated rapper M.E.D.; it's a track off Part 3, a free mixtape full of self-produced bedroom recordings that is slated to drop sometime in late February. If you're in Los Angeles, catch her open for Jessy Lanza this weekend at the Bootleg; apparently, she plays percussion while she sings.
