Christina Vantzou, the ambient/post-classical composer who just released her second album, Nº2, via Kranky, has always doubled her work with film, producing extended visuals for her earlier group The Dead Texan and a short film for her first album, Nº1. Today, she gives the self-directed video treatment to LP standout "Going Backwards to Recover What Was Left Behind" with a single slow-motion sequence, reinforcing a central truth of all emotionally packed droning tracks: sometimes the feelings of an instant deserve to last a little longer.
