Jose Guapo and Offset Are Otherworldly On “Fishtail”

Atlanta’s Jose Guapo shares dreamy new track “Fishtail,” featuring Migos’ Offset.

May 01, 2014

Jose Guapo, who left Rich Kidz years back to forge his own path and now runs with Atlanta's crew of young, wily tongue-twisters like Migos and Peewee Longway, is set to drop the fourth installment of his Cash Talk mixtape series in June. "Fishtail" might be his best release this year: Guapo's stuttery, start-stop delivery cascades over a beat that sounds like an underwater dream, somewhere between Young Chop and Araabmuzik; Migos' Offset guests, comparing his diamonds to Bart Simpson.

Bonus: Jose also just released visuals for "Fader," his tribute song to our humble magazine. Needless to say, we're flattered and it's already blasting through our halls via an office-wide email. If you've ever wondered what The FADER would sound like in a yelpy "Versace" cadence, watch here.
