Lil Boosie Shows His Teeth On “Heart of a Lion”

Listen to the tough talking first official single off the legendary Baton Rouge rapper’s first post-prison album, set to drop later this summer.

This summer Lil Boosie will release the first of two albums he's got planned for this year, Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, culled from the some 1,000 songs he wrote while behind bars and since his release in February. We've heard a number of one-offs and verses in recent weeks, but today he shared the first official single -- at least according to the YouTube description -- from the project, "Heart of a Lion." Interestingly (and perhaps not intentionally) the song's Napoleonic hook -- I'm only 5'7" with the heart of a lion, creep like a tiger and I stomp like a giant -- sort of echoes Lil Wayne's first post-prison single, "6 Foot 7 Foot." Touchdown 2 Cause Hell drops July 15, with featured guest spots from Jeezy, 2 Chainz, T.I and more.
