In a 2013 interview with FADER, LA rapper Problem spoke almost incredulously of the breakout success of "Like Whaaat": [It's] the most me type of music I’ve ever dropped. That lets me know, uh oh, I can do me and it works? This is crazy. Just over a year later, and doing him is still working, perhaps better than he ever foresaw—the single was incredibly prescient of the kind of bare-bones slap that's dominated rap in 2014. He's back with two new ones, "On The Way" and "Realest Niggas In Here," both produced by HBK Gang's P-Lo. Skeletal but bouncy, in his signature almost-too-cool-to-care deadpan, they're not a far departure from tracks like "Like Whaaat," because they don't need to be—he's in the right place at the right time.
