FADER PREMIERE

About a month ago, we premiered the debut song from mysterious NYC artist Locke. "We Are The Prey" was accompanied by a picture of a rough'n'tumbling lion and tiger, and now new song "O Boy" comes with an image of two wrestling men. Physical intimacy, it seems, is a theme for Locke, although in an email note with the track she explains it "isn't exactly about a boy." It is, however, still tripping on a tense vulnerability vibe. "O Boy" starts off skeletal—Locke's vocals stretch like ligaments over the leanest of beats—but then in the final third of the song it blossoms into a sensual electronic pop song; flesh, blood and all.
