FADER PREMIERE

One Circle is a collaborative project from three Italian producers who mine the ecstatic possibilities of electronic composition: Presto!? Records founder Lorenzo Senni, who makes music that flows likes melted wax as Stargate; Vaghe Stelle, who I first heard via Scottish producer Samoyed's muscle-relaxing remix of his track "Platform" a couple of years back; and A:RA, who I scolded myself for being unfamiliar with when I very recently (a few minutes ago) heard his track "Wenci." Together they have an EP coming out on Gang of Ducks called Transparency this July 21st and, interestingly, it's more gnarly and more haunted than any of their solo work, yet remains flecked with tantalizing flashes of their fluid way with melody. Take "Live In Your World Play In Ours" for example: it's ostensibly a B-side but it reads more like a frontrunner to me. There's all that static rumbling at the beginning, before some delicate pizzicato action leads the way into a heavenly hall of light.
