Chief Keef Cruises Bumping “Nobody,” His Woozy New Collab with Kanye West

Hear a snippet of an unreleased Kanye West/Chief Keef collab, “Nobody”

August 18, 2014

This past weekend we found Chief Keef cruising down the freeway with a blunt in hand, blasting the same serene stretch of guitar and flute that intros Dr. Dre’s “Rat Tat Tat,” lifted from 1973 film “The Mack.” Kanye and Keef trade twisted autotune lines before a massive beat drop—it’s the same kind of drunk-by-myself wailing Ye enlisted Keef for on “Hold My Liquor,” warm with Motown soul and jagged with Atlanta bounce. Context clues count here: the original sample features dialogue between two brothers, one imploring they get off the streets and put a life of drug-dealing and pimping behind them, and the other scoffing at the very idea--Dre answered simply, "nigga, is you crazy?" If Kanye and Keef have had similar exchanges in studio, we wouldn't be surprised.
