It looks like that Major Lazer animated show is going to become a reality after all. According to a Billboard cover story on the project's founder, Diplo, the cartoon about a “Rasta superhero” is slated to make its debut on FOX next year with a soundtrack that includes RiFF RAFF and Cat Power. As reported, in 2011, the show was originally going to be a part of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and that Major Lazer artist Ferry Gouw would act as the cartoon's creative director. This foray into animation is just one of many projects that Diplo has on his busy plate, which includes collaborations with Skrillex; his Las Vegas residency; and the ongoing Mad Decent Block Party. Billboard also said that the DJ's 2004 debut, Florida, will be reissued in the fall.
