On the Street With Mobolaji: Reversible Jackets and Dresses With Attitude

Our man on the street talk to some style standouts.

September 12, 2014

We decided, once again, to set our Style Editor-At-Large Mobolaji Dawodu loose on the streets during New York Fashion Week. His eyes move faster than most people's minds: in two minutes he'll notice and form an opinion on ten things you didn't even see. We hadn't even set up our cameras when Mobolaji spotted Logan, an aspiring fashion designer and milliner clad head to toe in his own designs. "Right now I'm a nobody," Logan says. "You're not a nobody," Mobolaji replies, "The people at the shows look at you and they make the designs. You're not a nobody." Mobolaji recognizes the inherent value in everyone he meets, he's bright and engaged whether he's talking to a designer no one has heard of yet, or the Men's Fashion Director of Bloomingdale's. Watch the video, shot outside of Milk and Artbeam Studios, above.
