Mary Katrantzou And Adidas Have A Beautiful Thing Going

Katrantzou for the people!

October 21, 2014

Mary Katrantzou, whose graphic confections are favorites of the likes of Ri and Bey, is a killer collaborator. We're still hunting down scraps from her collection for Topshop on Ebay, but her new collab with Adidas Originals has us eager to score her gear the first time around. The collection is a sportier take on Katrantzou's signature aesthetic, offering up structured dresses, graphic bombers, and sneakers adorned with mysterious little growths. In an interview posted on her website, Katrantzou speaks on the collaborative effort: "I think print and color communicate perfectly to a wider audience. I wanted this collection to be more democratic because what I do everyday is niche and luxury, so it's great to translate my work into a product more people can enjoy!" She also adds that Adidas' previous collaborations, with the likes of Rick Owens and Raf Simons, made her realize that for this collection, "anything was possible." Check out some of the pieces from the upcoming collection below and at Style.com, and look for the official drop on November 15th.
