Praise Beysus: Beyoncé Confirms New Release

November 04, 2014

Yesterday, speculation abounded that Beyoncé was planning on pulling a, uh, Beyoncé by dropping another surprise release on the unsuspecting public before the end of the year. Well, the alleged surprise is ruined, but there is, indeed, new Beyoncé music on the way: Pitchfork reports that Beyoncé Platinum Edition Box Set, a four-disc extravaganza, is set for release on November 24.

Along with last year's self-titled album and a DVD featuring the record's accompanying music videos, Beyoncé Platinum Edition Box Set will feature a new disc of tunes aptly titled More. The six-song CD will include new cuts "7/11" (which will hopefully be a paean to the convenience-store chain's culinary delights) and "Ring Off", along with the previously heard Nicki Minaj-featuring remix of "Flawless", and remixes of "Drunk in Love", "Blow", and non-Beyoncé cut "Standing on the Sun" respectively featuring Kanye West, Pharrell, and Mr. Vegas. (The rumored Rihanna-featuring "Blow" remix and the-Dream/Pharrell collab "Donk" are, sadly, still just rumors for now.)

The set also comes with a DVD chronicling B's Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, a photo book, as well as a Beyoncé mini-calendar (presumably so fans can properly earmark when, exactly, surfbort season takes place). While you're presumably freaking out, revisit the "Flawless" remix here—because there's no such thing as too much Beyoncé and Nicki.
