Niia’s Voice Might Thaw Your Icy Heart

The former jazz vocalist sings a stunning a cappella version of “Body” for FADER TV.

Niia studied jazz singing at Berklee, so it's not even a tiny bit surprising that she sounds great a capella. In this 100% unplugged performance for FADER TV, the New York songwriter sings her track "Body" in a sunlit Brooklyn kitchen while flipping through old issues of FADER. Her voice, something like velvet, fills the room without overwhelming it. The song is a cut from her Generation Blue EP; The video for that record's title track premiered on The FADER earlier this year, and so did Ricky Eat Acid's ecstatic remix of it.
