This spare but sassy dance number is the first fruit of the duo’s new collaboration.

Calore, a born-and-bred New York singer and performer, must have struck a chord in Brenmar with her turn on his ultra-fresh High End Times: Vol 1 mix. The two are clocking hours together working on Calore's upcoming EP, and today The FADER is happy to premiere the first fruit born of their labor: a spare but sassy dance number titled "Major." Bitch, boom! I'll take your papi and your pocket book, she sings, at once fierce and fun.

"Major to me means freedom. Always thinking outside the box and thinking different, but at the same time being true to yourself, " Calore wrote The FADER in an email about the song. "When we started creating the track I wanted it to sound unlike anything out there. It reminds me of theater or a play, but at the same time it's still fun and weird," she says. Brenmar couldn't agree more: "I don't even know what genre this would be and that makes me really happy," he told us. Stream "Major" below; and if you like what you hear, keep an eye out for more Calore next spring.
