Bobby Shmurda Arrested At Quad Studios In New York

Arraignments are scheduled to take place in Manhattan Supreme Court tomorrow.

Update 12/18/14: Bobby Shmurda was arrested on conspiracy, reckless endangerment and gun possession. He has been indicted for conspiracy to commit 2nd degree murder, conspiracy to commit 2nd degree assault, weapons and narcotics charges. Shmurda has plead not guilty, and is being held on $2 million bail. His lawyer has indicated that that Epic has agreed to help Shmurda make bail; he also has called the charges "a bunch of bullshit."

Bobby Shmurda was arrested Tuesday night in New York and is expected to be indicted on charges that have as yet to be disclosed. The "Hot Nigga" rapper and several from his GS9 crew were allegedly picked up at the infamous Quad Studios, during a sting that was the result of a long-term investigation conducted by the NYPD and the city's special narcotics prosecutor. Kati Cornell, director of public information in the office of the city's special narcotics prosecutor, confirmed the news with Wondering Sound, adding that "The investigation did involve a number of violent incidents as well as narcotics trafficking." Arraignments are scheduled to take place in Manhattan Supreme Court tomorrow. FADER has reached out to a rep for Shmurda, and is awaiting comment.
