Jack for days.

UK dance institution Ministry of Sound's come correct in recent years with their ongoing Masterpiece series, turning out incredible multi-CD comps from the likes of Goldie, Carl Craig, and Andrew Weatherall. This time around, it's Armand Van Helden's turn, and the NYC house vet's prepped a 3-CD set for the series, each disc possessing its own distinct theme:The Loft—Boston, Yacht Rock Don't Stop, and Freestyle Forever. The thing drops February 15; to give us mere mortals a peek, AVH's prepped a 15-minute minimix previewing content from all three discs that you can check out below.

"I'm semi-retired now. This is the only genre of music that doesn't allow you leave, it's like the Mafia!" Van Helden told FADER in an email. "So accepting a commission from Ministry to compile a Masterpiece was a no-brainer. It's a good way to do something entirely different. Why not make a compilation to show where I traversed in life? I don't think anyone knows about my freestyle history! It's a walk through time."
