Hear Durkin’s Euphoric Remix Of Jordan Bratton’s “My Town”

This one is a trip.

January 05, 2015

Pop lothario Jordan Bratton released his debut mixtape The Grey Area back at the end of 2013 when he was only 18, but his rumbling ballad "My Town"—which was written with Adele in mind—still goes. To toast the young NYC star as we head into 2015, Boston producer Durkin has just served up this blissful rework of the track, kicking its laid-back groove up a gear by injecting it with some euphoric synth stabs and a whole lot of bounce. "'My Town' stood out to me because it has this dichotomy in the vocals between these slightly menacing verse sections that transition into a sort of happy, hopeful-sounding hook," Durkin told the FADER over email. "I wanted to really highlight that in my remix, switching between minimal club vibes and giant euphoric breakdowns." Get taken on a trip via the player below.
